The most frequently asked questions I get are about my name; What does it mean? Is it a family name? Where did it come from? Do you have a nickname? How do you spell that? What do people call you? What's your first name? What can I call you?
McKittrick- (Mick' kit' trick) is originally a Scottish and Northern Irish surname, and was derived from the Old Norse personal name Sigtryggr, which literally means true victory.
But here's the story of how it came to be my name. Jackie Gleason (1916-1987) was a popular American comedian, radio and TV personality. In 1969, he announced that he would be marrying Beverly McKittrick. My mother was pregnant at the time and my grandmother suggested that Beverly's last name would make for a unique first name for a boy (Mickettrick) or girl (Mickettric)-Ma' ket' trick. So they changed the spelling and the pronunciation a bit and since I was a girl, settled on Mickettric! Voila! My mother has always been a HUGH fan of Mick Jagger and she suggested that as a nickname that they could call me Mick. However, the family refused and settled on Mickie. So for the first 23 years of my life I went by Mickie, until one day that was no longer a good fit and I started going by my given name. My mother calls me Mick even today! And here are the answers:

I really loved reading the story behind your name, as it’s so important for our identities to be recognized correctly. When I was struggling with my final thesis, I found that an academic editing service helped me find the right words to express myself, making me feel just as "seen" in my writing as you do with your name.
This post really highlights the power of acknowledgment and being truly seen by those around us. I remember during a particularly overwhelming season of life, I felt so invisible under my workload that I actually considered finding someone to take my class online for me just to regain some personal time. It’s a great reminder that we all need a little space to breathe and be ourselves outside of our daily obligations.
I really liked your thoughts on how hearing our own name can make us feel seen, especially in care places where people often feel scared or alone. In one health communication course I used Online Moodle Assignment Management so I had more time to volunteer at a small clinic. We practiced asking each person what they wanted to be called. It felt simple but strong, and your post reminds me that respect often starts with just a name.
I loved reading the story behind your name, it’s so personal and full of family history. It reminded me of a time I was struggling to keep up in school and relied on biology class help just to make sense of everything. Names, like biology concepts, carry meaning and stories, and having a little guidance can make learning or understanding your own story so much clearer and more enjoyable.
I liked how the post talks about names and what they mean, and it made me think about how our name is part of who we are and how we show up in life. I remember a time when I used UK assignment help while trying to juggle school work and personal stuff, and it made me feel more confident about what I was doing. Reading this made me think that simple stories about ourselves can help us understand our path better.
